Specialist Enterprise Support gives expert and FREE help, through business advice, mentoring or a subsidised visit to another community food enterprise.
The project has supported nearly 400 community food enterprisese since December 2008 and is now closed to new enquiries.
Led by the Plunkett Foundation, Specialist Enterprise Support worked with enterprises seeking to increase access to local food, by supporting them to be robust and sustainable. This iwas done through:
Business advice: highly qualified and experienced consultants from the social enterprise and local foods sector provide face to face technical expertise and general business advice on such topics as business planning and marketing.
Skillshare mentoring: one to one visit and structured mentoring for any individual within an organisation, from mentors who have been there and done it and who will listen and share their own experience.
Skillshare Study Visits: a subsidised and facilitated visit, hosted by successful; community food enterprises.
The resources below will be expanded and revised during Spring 2012 and these and other business resources will be available on this website until 2017.
