As part of the work of Making Local Food Work to support farmers’ markets we have produced a short guide for stallholders at farmers’ markets. The guide aims give simple, practical, hands-on advice on stall presentation and simple selling techniques.

Presenting produce in an attractive, eye catching way and clear labelling can have a huge positive impact on sales. The ‘Stalls that sell more’ guide gives some simple tips that can be used on all farmers’ market stalls.

People love shopping at farmers’ markets – it’s the only place that they can talk directly to the producers about exactly how the food they are about to eat has been produced. So as well it’s important for stallholders to tell their stories. This guide covers getting the message across and other tips on how sell more at farmers’ markets.
