Colne Valley Food

A farmer sells his produce at an event at the Visitors' Centre

Colne Valley Food is a social enterprise which is developing a box scheme in an area of London's urban fringe.

The project will explore ways of engaging people with their food primarily through recreational activities at the Colne Valley Park Visitors' Centre. The Centre will become a collection point for the box scheme and produce from the scheme will be sold at the events held at the Centre and in the surrounding area.

The scheme will explore how Visitors' Centres can play an active role in re-engaging people with their food and in supporting local producers.

Over the course of the funding, Colne Valley Food worked with 21 primary producers and their produce was bought by nearly 4,000 people.
