Community Food Enterprise (CFE), based in Newham, work in partnership with diverse communities in East London helping them to access good food. They have a particular commitment to working with low-income communities.
During the Making Local Food Work programme CFE aimed to supply more local and sustainably produced food to their outlets.
They also worked with East Anglia Food Link to try to increase their purchasing direct from farmers in the East of England. A report on this work explores the challenges of increasing local supply in food access projects.
